The fundamental question to be asked above is why do we need links? What is a link and how does it work?
In the most common form, a link from one web site to another is the way this thing called the Internet works.
To put it simply, without links in whatever way shape or form, the Internet would not work as we would not be able to get from one web site to another and hence we would stop using the internet pretty quickly!
So now we know how links work in theory but what about the actuality?
Well basically a link is a piece of computer code that when activated or pressed leads the user directly to a pre defined targeted web site. As you can imagine this is pretty useful and enables surfers to get from one site to another easily thereby making the whole experience of online activity much easier.
It would appear that the common concept amongst most webmasters online at the moment is that the more links the merrier and thus a much higher profile within the Search Engines will result.
Link Popularity Rule!
Whilst this may have been seen to be working in years gone by the generally accepted wisdom is that by and large this strategy no longer applies in the real world that is 2207.
All links are good but some links are better than others!
There are still certain webmasters who subscribe to the above theory but linking analysis is not that simple (oh that it was). Take Google for instance. Google factors in heavily the Value of the links to your sites and calculates these in a proprietorial algorithm that on the surface involves just two factors but in reality probably uses more.
The first of these factors is the strength of the originating web site and the quality of the same web site. It is very much an online version of the basic you are known by the company you keep philosophy. Google considers the quality of your web site in direction to the quality of the websites that are providing you with a link. If Google rates highly the originating web site such as the Yahoo Directory then you are half way to a good listing whenever Google has its next update. On the other hand if the inbound links come from websites that are practically useless then please do not be offended if Google (and the others) highly discard any potential benefit you might have accrued.
As well as analysing the number of inbound links to your website, Google and the other major indexes also analyse the number and quality of outbound links to your website from the originating web site. Basically according to the Search Engine Spiders, the theory goes that the fewer the number of external links the greater the net worth of the value. This means that in an ideal world for your inbound link to have maximum effect then it really needs to be the only outbound link on the originating site?
This as you can see is a massively flawed argument and one that thankfully appears to be disappearing over the horizon! Thank heavens for that.

As you know; the bigger your subscriber list, the bigger your paycheck. Imagine now, that your list of 10 in January turned into 100 in February, and 1,000 in March. What would this do to your paycheck? How nice would June be?
The great thing about the techniques you are going to learn is that once the system starts it automatically continues until you hit a million. How is this possible? The concept is simple and it is all based on a mathematical equation.
The Pyramid Concept:
I know, you all shirk at the thought of a ?pyramid scheme?. Well, everybody that is except for the hundreds of thousands of people who became rich from them.
Anyway, pyramid schemes are illegal and for good reason. The concept you are about to learn is not a ?scheme? just a mathematical formula. And it in no way involves getting or asking money from anyone.
Here?s the Concept:
1st month: you find 10 people to sign up for your newsletter. (That?s Easy)
2nd month: get the 10 people who signed up for your newsletter to get 10 people to sign up (Not as easy, but, you could also replace some of the people by getting 10 more people in your 2nd month)
3rd month: Ask the 100 ? 200 to find 10 people to sign up for your newsletter
etc?.
Why This Concept Won?t Work:
This concept in the way I described above, although it sounds nice, is not practical. You will never be able to have your subscribers sign up 10 people for you.
So, then, how is this concept going to be enacted?
Create a contest or free promotion:
Unfortunately, I can only make this article so long before you get bored, so, I?ll give you the short version.
Here are the steps: (only 1 of the million ideas)
1. Start a ?lottery? site or contest site where you give away a cash prize to the monthly winner
2. Tell the contestants that they will get one entry per every 5 people they get to sign up for the lottery.
3. All entrants will have a pre-checked opt-in for the newsletter. The only way they can win the prize is if they are signed up for the newsletter.
You can see how your subscribers will continually want to get more subscribers so they can get more tickets. It?s a win/win situation.
Summing it all Up
To some, this idea might seem crazy, trite, unoriginal, or even brilliant. I didn?t write this article for you to follow it step by step, but to get the creative juices in your brain flowing. Sometimes ideas like this will get you thinking along the right creative path.

Hearing the acronym SEO is not new for most Internet marketers. In fact, it is one of the unwritten protocols that must be learned and kept in mind by every aspiring Internet marketer. Thus, if you are unfamiliar with Internet Marketing SEO, you will experience difficulty in terms of achieving your Internet marketing business objectives. Before discussing SEO to Internet marketing beginners, let us first tackle search engines. If you are familiar with Yahoo, Google, or MSN, these are some of the widely used search engines on the Internet. If you are looking for any information on the Internet, search engines will always be your first and probably your sole option. You will just type several words that are related to the information you are looking for on the search box, and when you click the “search button”, you will be redirected to a page that contains listings of websites containing the words that you type on the search box.
Because of the popularity of search engines to Internet users, Internet marketers consider it as one of the primary tools in getting online buyers. Thus, it paved the way to the birth of Internet Marketing SEO as an essential attribute on Internet marketing. The acronym stands for search engine optimization, which is the art of producing web pages that will have high rankings on related search engine results. It is accomplished through optimization of several sections or elements in the HTML coding of every web page. Search engines specifically interpret such sections, and the latter will rank the former according to its level of optimization. There are various methods and opinions on how a certain webpage should be optimized. Such methods and opinions will heavily dependent on the type website you have, its contents, the purpose of its existence, and the existing competition. However, when speaking about general SEO, it heavily depends on the proper use of certain keywords and/or key phrases that are used to describe your website’s content.
Probably you will wonder how these keywords affect the Internet Marketing SEO performance of your Internet marketing website. When you search for needed information using several words, you will notice that such words are “highlighted” when search results are displayed. The words that you type on the search box serves as the “keywords” that is utilized by webmasters in optimizing their websites. Although it may not be of importance to an Internet user, but it is as good as “gold” for Internet marketers who want their site to be shown on the top pages of every related search engine result.
Keywords that are used in Internet Marketing SEO have standard placements on a website. For instance, such keywords must appear on the title section of your web page’s source code. Moreover, it must appear on the META description section wherein the page is described in an accurate manner by repeating the selected keywords. The META section often contains the keywords that are used to describe your site’s content and its product or service. If you will carefully analyze the previous discussion, you will notice that the performance of the site’s SEO heavily depends on the keywords that you are using. Thus, the main keywords or key phrases must appear on the first 2 paragraphs of the content of every page, and then scatter it throughout the rest of the page. In scattering your main keywords, make sure that it will be an integral part of the content itself. It must appear as if it is among the original content of the page.
In addition, the last paragraph of each page must be keyword-rich. One of the unwritten rules involving Internet Marketing SEO is that the keywords density of your page must be between 5 to 15 percent. Although it is advised that you maximize the use of your keywords, avoid using it excessively. A content with keyword density above the standard will not help on the optimization of your website. Another consideration in Internet Marketing SEO performance of your site is the placement of relative back links, or hyperlinks directing to external sites. It is relatively important since search engine spiders navigate through links. In addition, the text of your page relating to external links may also contain keywords. If you are one of the aspiring Internet marketers who want to take the challenge of earning on the Internet, do not ever forget the acronym that will lead you to the success of your Internet Marketing SEO.

Yes.
If you type ?making money on the internet? into any search engine, you will get a ton of results promising you a 6 or 7 figure income with ?little to no work,? ?completely automated? and always with ?100% Guaranteed results.? But you better act fast because this ?exclusive? information, which is generally about affiliate marketing or something similar, (discounted from $299 to $34.99) will only be available to a limited number of people and then will never be available to the public again!
And when asked why the website owner is sharing these precious secrets, the answer is always something to the effect of ?I have all the money I?ll ever need or want and I was once broke like you (you being the person reading the website) and I want to help other people become financially independent.? The whole ?karma? thing.
I?ve been scammed by these sales pitches before and it always seems to be a hassle to get your money back.
Taking surveys on line is another popular ploy. Many sites charge a membership fee and there are sites that will give you the same resources for free. At any rate, when I tried it, 75% of the surveys I tried to do were either closed out or it was determined that I was not eligible. Almost every one of the surveys I completed made you eligible for a monthly drawing for $1000 whatever. The few that didn’t, gave out a coupon for $25 off this or a free lunch at McDonalds, etc. No cash made for any of the time I spent on that either.
I have found that the best way to make some extra money, working from home on the internet, is to use freebie sites, which is a growing phenomenon. As long as I can remember being able to surf the internet, I’ve seen those pop up and banner ads that ask you a ridiculous questions like:
“Whose butt is this?”
A. J-Lo
B. Cameron Dias
C. Lindsey Lohan.
And if you “answer correctly” you win a free iPod or Xbox or whatever. Then you get to the site and they want you to complete a “free trial offer” of half a dozen things before you get your “free gift” These are not the type of sites that will provide you with any consistent form of extra cash.
The sites I?m referring to you have to register as a member with (always free) and the trial offers are organized and straight forward with all the important information. This includes, the price of the trail, if any, the payout for completing the trial, and the requirements you must fulfill to get credit for completing the trial. More often then not the payout is more then the cost, but not always. You should know all this with out even going to the offering company?s website.
When you decide to complete an order, make sure you know what the parameters of the trial period are, including the length of the trial and the cost of the service after the trial ends. This way you can avoid any billing surprises and cancel, if you don?t like the service, with in the specified amount of time.
It is also very important to make sure you?re browser settings are correct to receive credit for offers (usually this means enabling all cookies). Also understand the freebie site?s rules and procedure for cashing out.
Another way to make money from these sites is through referrals. Most freebie sites pay you around $40 for each ?green? referral. A green referral is someone that has registered at the site and has completed at least one offer.
You certainly won?t ?get rich quick? or be able to ?fire your boss? participating in freebie sites, but you will be able to make some extra cash part time doing something easy and fun.
For a great site to get you started, copy/paste the link below.

If you are the owner of a Miami website then your dream is to make the business succeed by using Miami web development in an effective way. Traffic, as well as good search engine ranking, is obtained by performing on-site and off-site Miami SEO. The only problem you probably have is that you don’t know where to start from and what strategy to adopt in your case. The answer lies in visiting networkstrategics.com, where a professional consulting company will advise on what services to use, what networking solutions you have and on what advanced marketing means. It doesn’t only sound simple. It is.
This leading provider of Internet business solutions will first advise you that Miami SEO is a top priority. The reason, though it might not seem obvious at first, is that search engines promote a business or enhance a website’s ranking only if the website in turn provides its clients with the necessary content, optimized in a certain way to rank well, and if its quality is considered superior to the competition. A website is appreciated by search engines only if the Miami web development company knows that the usual optimized meta tags, tags, title and description of the site are not enough to promote it successfully. They are necessary, but not sufficient.
Search engines see websites as valuable online resources for web surfers if their popularity is indicated by numerous links pointing to them. Although the essence of offsite Miami SEO seems to be pretty simple, it is not. Things get a little bit more complicated and questions like that type of links does a site need?? How many links are enough to become better than everyone in my line of work??or is this technique enough to get me in top??arise. Links are indeed very valuable tools for online marketing, if used properly.
Until very recently, link exchange was the main method used to drive traffic towards a site, but now this method is competing with inbound links. Actually, it would be fair to say that inbound links have replaced link exchange techniques. However, there are still a few stubborn webmasters which still consider link exchange just as useful. Inbound links are the new Miami SEO trend. They represent a Miami web development technique practiced by almost 90% of Seo experts active on today’s market. It is more than obvious that its success consists in the fact that webmasters make their business known through other websites which no longer ask for links in exchange for their own.
Inbound links, or one way links as they are also called, are similar to advertising your business, without further loading of your own website with links pointing to the competition services. They are a valuable Miami Seo method as long as their number is higher than what the other websites have pointing to them. The fact that your website shows up in the search engines?spider exploration as very popular and highly recommended by websites which don’t receive advertising or any reward for their informative publicity, makes Google, Yahoo, Msn and others consider you as an important asset to have in their top searches on certain keywords. Therefore, with a little smart Miami web development, your site can rise in position in the search engine’s display of sites on certain keywords.
Another issue has appeared in this Miami SEO technique description: the fact that you might be tempted to enhance your website’s ranking as quickly as possible. Finding out a good Miami SEO method might tempt you to obtain a very high number of links in a very short time. This is not recommended as the way search engines work should be first known. Search engines detect such an attempt to cheat their explorations?and searches? They consider it spam and penalize your website. Networkstrategics.com advises you to let Miami web development professionals do their jobs and allow them to offer you a restricted number of links. Inbound links should be made gradually so as to prove search engines that your site’s popularity is not fake, but takes shape in a natural way: in time.
Of course, the number of things to be considered while promoting your online business is far bigger than what were mentioned above. Miami SEO can be tricky for those who are not prepared to do it themselves. This is why networkstrategics.com offers its quality services and recommends you let them do the work instead of you. Miami web development professionals are the solution you were searching for and now found. Let their motto be yours as well: embracing technologies, creating solutions?

eBay is a vast marketplace that is growing larger with every passing day. Yet sellers need to recognize that even with all of the members who are buying items every day, eBay remains no different that any other marketplace. eBay sales are driven by the basics of supply and demand. If you want to know how to make money selling on eBay, then learn the basics of supply and demand and then put that learning into action with your eBay business.
If you want to know how to make money selling on eBay, learn the demand side of the equation. In the perfect marketplace there are buyers who are ready, willing and able to make purchases of products and services. Those buyers are willing to pay their perceived value of a product. As the price goes down more and more buyers will be willing to enter the marketplace and buy the product or service. As the price goes up there will be less and less buyers who are willing to purchase the product or service.
On the other hand, there are sellers with the perfect product or service on hand. They are ready, willing and able to sell that perfect product. They have a certain target price at which they will sell. More sellers will enter the marketplace as the price goes up, and less will remain when the price goes down. If you understand the supply side of the formula you are one step closer to understanding how to make money selling on eBay.
Knowing how to make money selling on eBay involves putting the supply and demand formula to work. It involves realizing that there is some level of demand for every item, but the red hot items with huge demand and a great price will create a real buzz. That buzz can mean that prices rise still higher. With those higher prices can come higher profits.
To Your eBay Success!

Recently Rand Fishkin of Seomoz.org brought together 37 of the world’s Top SEO experts to tackle Google’s Algorithm, the complex formula and methods Google uses to rank web pages. This ranking formula is extremely important to webmasters because finding which factors Google uses to rank their index is often considered the Holy Grail of site optimization.
Google’s ranking factors affect how and where you are listed in their search engine results or SERPs. Since obtaining top positions for your targeted keywords often spells success for your site, knowing Google’s ranking factors can be very beneficial.
Every experienced webmaster will know Google is the main supplier of search engine traffic on the web, getting listed on the first page or anywhere in the top 10 positions for popular keywords will result in plenty of free quality targeted traffic.
Briefly listed below are some of the main ranking factors you should be optimizing your web pages for in your marketing. The majority of these ranking factors will be very familiar to most webmasters who take full advantage of any and every SEO tactic which will give their site an edge over their competition.
Here are some of the main ranking factors to consider:
1. Keywords In Your Title And On Your Page
Place your keyword or keyword phrase in the title of your page and also in your copy. Many webmasters use variations of their keywords on this page and also include it in the H1 headline.
2. Keywords In Your URL
Keep your page on topic and place your keyword in the URL. Use your keyword in the H2, H3… headlines. Place it in the description and meta tags, place it in bold/strong tags, but keep your content readable and useful. Be aware of the text surrounding your keywords, search engines will become more semantic in the coming years so context is important.
3. Create High Quality Relevant Content
Have high quality relevant content on your pages. Your content should be related to the topic of your site and updated regularly depending on the nature of your site.
4. Internal Onsite Linking
Internal linking is important to your overall ranking. Make sure your linking structure is easy for the spiders to crawl. Most suggest a simple hierarchy with links no more than three clicks away from your home/index page.
Creating traffic modes or clusters of related links within a section on your site has proven very effective for many webmasters, including this one. For example, creating a simple online guide on a subject related to your site’s topic can prove very beneficial. Keep all the links connected and closely related in subject matter and don’t forget to have occasional external ‘anchor keyworded’ links coming to these internal links on your site instead of to your homepage. Deep build your links.
5. Only Linking To High Quality Related Sites
Don’t forget to link to high quality PR related sites. Linking to high quality sites shows the search engines your site is very useful to your visitors. Build relationships within communities on the topic of your site. Be extremely careful not to link to bad neighborhoods, link farms and spam sites… when in doubt, don’t link out!

Coin Hunting or ‘Coin Shooting’ as it’s often called, is not only very fun to do, but it can easily be very profitable. Finding just one gold piece or any rare coin can easily pay for the cost of the metal detector. When it comes to Coin Hunting or ‘Coin Shooting’, there are some places that I call ‘hot spots’, or the best places.
Riverbanks – Ponds – Lakes – Swimming Holes: These locations are true treasure hunting top spots. The Riverbank is a huge area that can provide a lifetime of detecting. River banks were used as ferry crossings, and some had covered bridges with toll stations. The local old timers may be able to tell you where the local fishing and old swimming spots were. Remember many of the old fishing spots were also drinking and partying spots, and at the swimming holes a lot of people took off their outer clothes, losing change as they did. And going back even earlier in the years, folks would take their clothes to the riverbanks to wash them in the water. The same goes for old farm ponds, many were used as a favorite summer time swimming spot or picnic area. The banks and shores of rivers, ponds, streams, lakes etc, are great locations for coins, jewelry, trinkets and more.
Schools – Churches: These are also ‘HOT’ areas for metal detecting, most towns or even rural areas have a school, some have multiple ones. Schools that are currently open during school season are a great place to find modern coins and even a few clad coins, also numerous trinkets, diecast cars, and cheaper jewelry items can easily be found on modern school grounds.
If you are as lucky as I am, then you live in a rural or country area that keeps a lot of their old buildings. I know where there are two old buildings that served as one room school houses, these places were open in the late 1800’s to the early 1940’s. Just imagine the wonderful finds these old grounds may be hiding. The old one room school houses also served as churches, social halls, farm grange buildings, and as meeting places for scouts, ladies aid societys and more.
Many old Churches and one room school houses had there own treasure chests, that’s right. When these buildings were constructed, the local kids and adults would bury a chest on the grounds or under a corner stone of the building. The chest was a sort of time capsule containing coins, newspapers and other unique items from the time when the building was erected. Many of these old buildings rotted away over time, and folks forgot about the buried time capsule located near the corner stone.
Searching the land a church is on is like searching for a pirates loot, you never know what you may find. And a lot of churches are very old, even many of the modern ones are like schools, they are built on the grounds where old ones stood. Churches were often the first buildings built in many towns. Right here where I live are numerous churches, and one was built in the early 1700’s. Church buildings not only housed people on sundays but, most were wedding sites, reception halls, dance halls, dinner sites, ice cream social locations, group meeting spots and much more.
Woods – The woods can be awesome for metal detecting if one knows what to look for. Look for old paths, those are great places to detect along. Old paths in the woods served as shortcuts to open fields for farmers to get their equipment through, or for cattle to follow and more. In a wooded area not far from where I grew up as a child I know where there is an old path, now grown up with trees and bushes, most folks would overlook it or not know it’s history. My grandfather and dad built the road by blasting stumps with dynamite and by hand cutting trees. They used the path to quickly get tractors, and other farm machinery to another open field below the woods. Just imagine the number of times my own dad and grandfather probably sat along that old road, eating their lunch or sipping some cool lemonaid underneath the shade of a large tree. Any time someone sat along a road eating lunch, they would often pull an old cloth hanky from their pocket to blow their nose or even wipe their mouth, often losing some pocket change at the same time.
Another rare but great metal detecting site that can often be found in the woods is old stone foundations and old stone chimneys, each has the potential for a rare gold coin or a jar of old silver dollars. Remember at one time this old stone foundation or fireplace was part of a familys home, with kids playing, parties and numerous outdoor activites.
Some other great Metal Detecting sites are – Parks, Beaches, Old Ball Fields, Playgrounds, Fairgrounds, Camping Sites, Camps, Ghost Towns, Battlefields, Old Picnic Spots. Make sure that you have permission to search and dig in any location you are going to do your detecting at.
There is Computer Software that is made just for the hobby of Metal Detecting. The software is called: ‘Metal Detector – Treasure Hunter Professional’, and may be seen at this website address:

If people come to think about online marketing, there are two known methods that will soon pop up to them to enhance and improve the visibility of the companys website, the organic SEO and pay-per-click.
Indeed, if you will use both, surely the websites profile will be maximize but due to budgetary constraint, it is impossible to use the two. It is normally wiser to focus on a particular method in increasing your websites visibility. But then which do you have to choose, will it be organic search engine optimization or pay-per-click?
Organic SEO indeed has several distinctive advantages over pay-per-click. There were some studies done that showed that organic SEO have lots of advantages.
Studies showed that there were few people who prefer to click on paid search than to the results found on organic SEO. A certain study was found that users prefer to click on the results of organic SEO six times than to those on paid search.
There are other studies that showed that 30% search engines users prefer to click on the paid listings and 70% of the search engine users prefer to click the results found on organic SEO.
The trust level for the organic SEO results are much higher than those on pay-per-click, which showed on some studies as well. There is a particular study made and showed that 14% prefer pay-per-click, 29% stated that they are being annoyed by the paid listings and 66% showed that they do not trust the paid ads. So it is very clear that the level of trust for organic SEO is higher.
Indeed, a lot of people are now using the internet to get valuable information. A lot of users and searchers are aware of pay-per-click as marketing tool. There is a study again that showed not only 38% of searchers aware from the paid and unpaid search results. There are 54% that are aware that Google is the widely used and recognized as the well known search engine.
Another advantage of organic SEO is that the costs remain stable than the prices in pay-per click.
Pay-per-click may generate results more rapidly than an organic SEO. But of course, organic SEO can give lasting results. In pay-per-click when the budget runs out or when the company decided to terminate the campaign, the search results will end up too. In organic SEO, the optimized website can have an impact on the search engine results.
On Google, there are 72.3% who felt that organic SEO were more appropriate, and there are only 27.7 percent who felt pay-per-click are appropriate. In terms of Yahoo there is 60.8% for organic SEO and 39.2 for paid.
Absolutely, organic SEO has a lot of distinctive advantages than pay-per-click. With time and effort definitely your website will have effective organic search engine optimization.
But of course, it is really up to you which to choose from organic search engine optimization or pay-per-click. Just look into your distinctive situation before you decide which one to choose, choose wisely, because the method of search engine you will choose will have an impact on your websites success.

They say that the web design industry is a knowledge based business and I could not say it enough times to my team. Quite obviously a business which is knowledge based depends heavily, if not entirely on yes, what you know. Today, more than ever, knowledge is power and this is particularly true of the web design industry. So what kind of training is required for a sound web design business company?
Start with the beginning. If you’ve decided to offer a comprehensive range of web design services you need web developers and web designers. Web developers are the guys who do the coding the hard and tedious stuff, if you don’t like this sort of thing. Many web developers have attended web development training courses while many others have taught themselves web design and coding. Personally, I find the self taught web developers more creative and competent. Let’s say that the motivation is there to start with. So, to establish your web design business, you need a few good coders, whether they do php, asp or other web based programming language.
You also need some good web designers. First impressions count and sell products. No matter how good and smart your code, you need a good web design, the right look and feel to attract your customers and get the sales. True, some web designers are more gifted and talented than others. But do take time to review and share good web designs with your team. What better way to improve your in house web design skills than to go over some well designed web sites and learn by observing. Study each line, each shape and colour of the web design. Web design is about details. Train your guys to look for details in a web design. The thickness of a border, the right icons in the right place can make all the difference.
Quality training is another vital element of the training programme. Train your web designers to understand your web design customers expectations. Develop an eye for details. Customers get very nervous when their web site is going live. They believe that the minute the web design is published online the whole world is scrutinising it. So web design customers are very intolerant to quality flaws in a web design. Training is vital. Have a quality checklist and train your web designer to spot the obvious mistakes like broken links, misspelling, misalignment in the web design. Once a web design is complete, the web designer must go over the web site with the checklist and tick each item on the web site. While this sounds obvious and simple, you cannot underestimate training.
All this training takes time and if your web design production is busy and deadlines are tight, it will not get done. Yet, training is vital to your web design business. I recommend setting a date each month when training is done. You know which date it is each month so you can plan your production accordingly. Make time for your web designers to get together once a month and share their web design knowledge and tips to the team. Web design techniques are progressing constantly and web designers can find whole online libraries full of the latest resources. Encourage your web design team to go online, learn the latest web design trends and provide a set up with a date, time and place for a regular training to take place.
